Map and Directions

If you are coming from the direction of Abergavenny please follow the A40 all the way to the roundabout just outside of Brecon where it connects with the A470. Turn right here towards Hereford then follow the instructions below:

Turn off the A470 at the sign for the Waste transfer station/Llanwern. Follow the road for just under 1 mile keeping to the right (do NOT turn off at the sharp corner).

We are just less than 1 mile down this road on your left. Just before our turning you will see a house & bungalow side by side on your left.

Immediately down the side of the bungalow there is a farm track. This is us!

You should see the Hewnwood sign on the lamppost here. If you find you are going uphill you have gone too far. Follow the track down to the barns at the bottom. Easy does it!

Alan’s framing sign will be beside the entrance to the courtyard where we prefer to get as many people to park as possible especially when the weather has been wet.

If we are in the woods please follow the signs and walk down the track.
